By electronically signing below, I agree that I have viewed the Work Study Orientation Presentation. I understand and will adhere to the information provided in this presentation. I also understand that my employment in the Federal Work Study program is conditional upon maintaining eligibility based on federal requirements.

When a student agrees to be a federal work-study employee, he or she accepts the following responsibilities and provisions.

1. Student must be willing to work.
2. Student must be willing to work at hours required by the supervisor, including the possibility of evenings or weekends if required.
3. Students are expected to work during vacation periods, if necessary.
4. If absent or late, student must notify supervisors in advance.
5. Students who “no-call/no-show” two or more times may be involuntarily terminated.
6. Students working longer than 3 hour shifts are entitled to a break not to exceed 15 minutes.
7. Students working longer than 6 hour shifts are required to take an unpaid lunch break of at least 20 minutes.
8. Students are paid for hours worked only, not lunch breaks.
9. Students may be required to attend periods of training with pay, and must complete the required orientation and DCFS Mandated Reporter Training prior to beginning employment.
10. Students must notify employer and Office of Financial Assistance if enrollment status changes.
11. Students are expected to come to work in clean, neat clothing and be well groomed.
12. Students are to follow the dress code set forth by their supervisor.
13. Students are to make personal phone calls only in an emergency situation and with the permission of the work-study supervisor. Cell phones are only permitted to be used with the permission of the Supervisor, including texting.
14. Students should not visit with friends or family while at work.
15. Students must maintain confidentiality at all times.
16. Students will not work more than 25 hours per week.
17. Students will not hold more than one work study position except in the case that they hold one tutoring position and one clerk position.
